So whats this notion that animal print is ....ermmmmm down market ?! OhNoUDidin just call Yves Saint Laurent , Fendi , Roberto Cavalli and the likes of the greatest designers in the world ....Down Market !
Truth is animal prints are now an uber high fashion statement. That being said , it is also one of the most difficult styles to carry off ! If you thought that, that super sexy zebra tote matches perfectly with your white tiger striped ankle booties with gold detailing, and that you could wear them both together ...please second guess your self ! FASHION FAUX PAS ! The rule is, One Item At a Time . Or a maximum of two in very select , delicately handled situations. For those of you who are going ' But I saw it on the runway ......blah blah ....and it looked fabulous ! ' Ladies , trust me , there is a wee bit of a difference between what is on a runway and what can be translated into real life . However exceptions can and should be made for those with a " Vivienne Westwood" streak , but not without an occasional snigger (tee hee) .
Now onto the business at hand ! This past Autumn/Winter a number of fashion moguls and couturiers have showcased a delightfully healthy array of ensembles in animal print /reptile print and faux fur . Dolce&Gabbana, Yves Saint Laurent had some super sexy ,leopard print pieces along with Fendi taking fur coats , jackets and stoles to a heavenly level . What a pity ,to not be able to wear fur in the U.A.E. Fur in the sun is never a good fashion statement , leave alone how uncomfortable it would be . Just in case your traveling to a country that's blissfully covered in snow , it would do you a good measure to look at A/W 2011 Moschino,Brioni ,Ferregamo and Dior . Here's a little peak at fendi fur (below). No article on animal print can be complete without mentioning the Lord of this genre Roberto Cavalli . Pictures are not enough ladies , because yet again , the master has upped his ante .

Now, as we all know , no outfit is complete without accessories ! So here is a quick pick of some fabulous animalistic accessories to keep us FASHION FABULOUS this season . We absolutely loved Lanvin's animal print ballerina wedge (bottom left) and Loboutin's leopard print booties (bottom right).
In our accessory board this time , we've featured pieces by Ysl , Chloe , Jimmy Choo, Mango an M&S .
